100 Possibilities

The College Art Association commissioned this work as part of its centennial celebration. With this project, Oring posed the question: “What is the role of the artist?” During the 2012 CAA annual conference in Los Angeles, artists, historians and the general public were invited to participate in this public performance in which 100 answers – hence 100 possibilities – were typed verbatim in response to the question.
